Where is the nearest major airport?

Depending on your flight options, Madison's Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) is approximately 50 minutes from the Resort; Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from the Resort; charter flights may have access to Baraboo-Wisconsin Dells Municipal Airport located 7 minutes south of the Resort.

Is a deposit required at the time of reservation?

Yes, Kalahari is an advance deposit Resort requiring the first night's lodging plus applicable taxes and resort fee to be charged at the time of reservation.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservations canceled 72 hours or more prior to the date of arrival receive a refund of the deposit, minus a $25 cancellation fee.

Reservations canceled within 72 hours of the date of arrival forfeit the entire deposit.

Dates of stay may be rescheduled at any time without fee, though rates may fluctuate.

Can extra guests be added at check in?

Yes, up to the maximum number of Guests allowed in compliance with your selected room style.

Can a reservation be made for someone other than the credit card holder? (Letter of Authorization)

Yes. In order for a guest to check-in other than the person whose credit card was used to make the reservation, the following steps are required:
1) Click here to open and print the Credit Card Authorization Form.
2) Complete the form in its entirety, including the signature of the credit card holder.
3) Obtain photocopies of the front and back of the credit card used to make the reservation as well as the credit card holder's photo ID. Please note that the back of the credit card must have the card holder's signature.
4) Fax the completed Letter of Authorization form, photocopies of the front and back of the credit card and card holder's ID to: (608) 254-6116 and address to the attention of Reservation Coordinator.

I am with a tax exempt organization. What is required for my stay to be tax exempt?

There are several organizations, municipalities and governmental agencies that may be exempt from Wisconsin state and local taxes. The tax-exempt laws of Wisconsin are dependent on several factors. If your stay is being paid or reimbursed by one of these entities, please click here and use this document as a guide to what is needed to exempt your stay from tax. The majority of exempt stays will require a State of Wisconsin S211 form to be filled out. For a copy of this form and/or an example letter documenting a traveler being reimbursed, please click here for an S211. Kalahari Resort encourages you to have all the documentation faxed or emailed to us in advance of your stay. We require all the appropriate forms and documentation in order for the tax to be waived. Taxes will be charged until these items are provided. Information can be faxed to 608-254-6116.

Is indoor/outdoor Waterpark admission included with overnight stays?

Yes, admission to Wisconsin's largest indoor waterpark and the Zambezi outdoor waterpark (seasonal, weather permitting) is included for each registered hotel guest!

Are pack 'n plays and/or rollaway beds available for rental?

Yes, pack 'n plays and rollaway beds are available on a limited basis for $10 per night based on room style as not all room styles will accommodate the space required. 

Can I request to have rooms located next to each other?

If you are making the reservation for both rooms you may request for the rooms to be located next to each other, however this cannot be guaranteed until check in. 

If you are requesting to have your room located next to that of one reserved by someone else, we require both parties to make this request independently. This can be done via email or by each calling Reservations at 877-525-2427 (please be sure to have your confirmation number available). Once both parties have confirmed, the requests will be added to the reservations, but cannot be guaranteed until check in.

What is the Resort Fee?

The Resort Fee is a mandatory daily fee of $29.99 to cover the costs associated with providing the highest level of amenities for our guests. To view what is included in the fee please view our Resort Fee page.


What are the check in and check out times?

Check in time begins at 4:00pm. Should you arrive as early as 12:00pm, you can pre-register and begin to enjoy the Waterparks.

Check out is no later than 11:00am. After you have checked out, if you have the time, we invite you to stay with us until Waterpark closing time to enjoy the Waterparks and the many other great Kalahari amenities and services available.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, except in those cases of companion animals trained to assist individuals with disabilities, pets are not allowed at the Resorts.

Are Pay-Per-View movies available in Guest Rooms?

Yes, a variety of movies and programming are available on a Pay-Per-View basis.

Can DVD/Blu-ray players or videogame consoles be connected to the televisions in the guest rooms and suites?

We apologize, however due to contractual obligations with our 'Pay-Per-View' provider, DVD/Blu-ray players and videogame consoles are not able to connect to the televisions in our guest rooms and suites.

Is Internet access available?

Yes, free wireless access is available in each of Kalahari's Guest rooms and suites.

How can I secure my valuables while staying at the Resort?

A safe is provided in each guest room for securing valuables. Lockers are also available for use at the Waterpark. Please note that Kalahari is not responsible for lost or stolen items while staying at the resort. Please make sure that upon vacating your guest room, you have throughly checked for any misplaced items.

Are laundry facilities available?

Yes, laundry facilities are available and conveniently located for our Resort guests.

Is smoking permitted within the resort or guest rooms?

Per Wisconsin State Statute 101.123 Wisconsin Act 12, smoking is not permitted in any enclosed public areas, including guest rooms and suites.


Can I use the waterpark without staying overnight?

Are outside coolers, food or drink permitted into the Waterparks?

Unfortunately, outside coolers, food or drink are not permitted into the Waterparks. However, there are many dining options both outside and inside the Waterparks for your enjoyment. For more information please visit our Where to Eat section.

Are towels available?

Yes, towels are provided for Waterpark guests.

When are swim diapers required and are they available for purchase?

Swim diapers are required for all children under the age of 3 and all children who are not toilet-trained. Swim diapers are available for purchase from Kalahari retail.

How can I learn to conquer the FlowRider®?

You'll need to register at the Waterpark front desk by 8:00pm for either the following morning (7:15-9:00am) or night (10:15pm -12:00am Sun.-Thurs.; 10-11:30pm Fri. and Sat.). $30 per person per session, limited to 15 individuals.

What are the hours of the indoor Waterpark?

Wisconsin's Largest Indoor Waterpark is open as follows:

Sunday through Thursday - 10:00am to 9:00pm (opening 9:30am for Resort Guests)
Friday & Saturday - 10:00am to 10:00pm (opening 9:30am for Resort Guests)

What are the hours of the outdoor Waterpark?

The Zambezi Outdoor Waterpark is open from 10:00am to dusk, Memorial Day through Labor Day; weather permitting.

 Are there water activities for toddlers and smaller children?

Yes, Kalahari Waterparks features many activities for smaller children including slides, geysers, interactive elements and more.

Are life vests required and available?

Yes, life vests are required for all children under 48". At Kalahari Resorts, the safety and security of our guests is our number one priority. In our indoor and outdoor Waterparks, Kalahari is proud to meet, and in many cases, exceed state and federal guidelines for Waterpark safety. Although many children possess excellent swimming capabilities in standard pools, Kalahari Resorts requires all children under 48" to wear a life vest for added safety while enjoying our Waterparks. You are encouraged to bring your own life vest if it is well fitting and U.S. Coast Guard approved. Complimentary life vests are available in the Waterpark on a first come first served basis

Are changing rooms and showers available for the Waterparks?

Yes. Men's and women's showers and changing facilities, as well as family changing facilities, are available at the entrance to the indoor Waterpark.

Are lockers available for the Waterparks?

Yes, lockers are available to rent on a first served basis in three sizes. Pricing per day is as follows:

  • Small - $10
  • Medium - $15
  • Large - $20
